Eardley Update – April 19th, 2021

Good Morning Eardley Community,

I hope this email finds you well. I have a short update today, please see below.

• Expected Return Date
  • As it stands right now, our expected return date for in person learning is Monday, April 26^th.
  • If any new information becomes available, I will update our community.
• Home & School Mother’s Day Raffle
  • Please find attached the memo from Home & School indicating a Mother’s Day Raffle.
  • All proceeds raised will go to our “Raise the Roof” fundraiser.
• Four and Five-Year-Old Kindergarten Parent(s) & Guardian(s) – Transition to Kindergarten Webinar
  • Please find attached a flyer indicating a WQSB virtual presentation from our Transition Agents, Steven Tremblay and Andrea Shattler
  • The Webinar is intended to help you understand and better equip parents/guardians as you navigate the transition to Kindergarten in Western Quebec.
  • Webinar – May 5^th from 6:30pm – 7:30pm
• New Procedural Mask Protocol
  • RED ZONE
• K4 – K5: students are not required to wear a mask (in any area of the school, outside or buses).
• Grade 1 – 6:  pediatric procedural masks are now mandatory at all times when in classrooms, when in transit and in common areas, school grounds and in school buses. 
• Procedural masks will be supplied three times per day – upon arrival to the school, immediately after lunch and just before the end of the day. (*The procedural mask provided at the end of the day will be the same mask worn to school the next day).
• We understand that this is a change and we will be working with our students as we adjust to the new procedures.
