What’s Happening in Eardley?
Hooked on School
Hooked on School Days or les Journée de la perseverance scolaire is an initiative to bring awareness to and promote the importance of school. On February 13, Eardley will partner with Lord Aylmer in an awareness walk through our community. There will not be a separate permission form for this walk as it is covered by the community walk form.

Building Resilience
As parents/guardians, we want what is best for our children. In doing that, we often jump in to support when they struggle…makes sense, right? I attended a workshop with Tracey Vaillancourt last week on the impact of social media. There was a portion of the session that spoke to the importance of the skills developed while “in the struggle”. Seeking immediate relief during times of struggle or avoiding the struggle, actually increases anxiety which is what we are trying to avoid. The journey is just as important as the destination.
Registration
Kindergarten registration has officially begun. If you have a child who will be of age for 4 or 5-year-old Kindergarten, please reach out to Kim Teske at kimteske@wqsb.qc.ca. Kim will send you the registration information. When reaching out to Kim, please provide the name of your child currently enrolled with us. It makes it easier to track down your file since they are organized by student name.
February 11, there is a combined registration date arranged with Eardley and Lord Aylmer. You can go to 130 Frank Robinson (Lord Aylmer Junior Campus) to enroll your child between 9:00-12:00 and 1:00-4:00.
School Fees
Thank you to those who have paid their school fees. The WQSB has begun the reminder process to settle outstanding accounts. You can find your invoice on the Parent Portal and you can pay your fees through your bank. Should you require assistance with the Parent Portal, please contact Ashley Kelly at AshleyKelly@wqsb.qc.ca. If you would like to make arrangements for school fees, please contact Kim Teske at kimteske@wqsb.qc.ca.
PD Days
We have PD Days scheduled on February 10 and 11 next week. Daycare services are available for those who are registered.
