Hello Everyone,
Happy Thanksgiving! Please see the information below for what is happening in the school.
Connection Through Inclusion
Does your child have special needs? One of our parents and Governing Board members, Coach Ryan Sullivan, facilitates an activity night for children who have special needs called Connection Through Inclusion. He will be running the program again this year. The activity runs on Monday nights from 6:00-7:00pm and is a fun way for children and families to connect with each other. Please visit the link below if you’re interested. You will be contacted by Coach Ryan. The tentative start date is October 12.

Weekly Question
Each week your child will take part in class discussion around the question of the week. This week’s questions are “What does great teamwork look like when we are working together?”. We also have an additional question this week, “What is your responsibility when you see something or hear something has happened to someone, that you know is wrong?” You may want to chat with your child at home as well.
Family Activity Night
Family Activity Night is back! Join us October 22 for a family night out to create planners. Children also go home with new books for their home library.
Eardley Clothing Swap & Trade
Join us for our upcoming Clothing Swap & Trade! This is a wonderful opportunity to refresh your child’s wardrobe in time for winter while supporting our school community. Children come in all sizes, so all sizes are welcome. Please stick to clothing only, no shoes or equipment.
How it works:
- Bring a bag to collect your items
- Clothing must be clean and in good condition, suitable for another child
- Clothing only (no toys or other items)
- Families will drop off items and sort them by size upon arrival
- Browse and shop
Drop-off note:
We will also accept bags of clothing during the day on Thursday, October 22, provided the items are already bagged and sorted by size in individual bags. No Donation? No problem! You are welcome to shop even if you are unable to bring items. All remaining clothing will be donated at the end of the day.
Event Schedule:
- Date: October 22, 2026
- Drop-off: During the school day. No drop-offs past 6:00pm

Kindergarten Families
If your child arrives late to school, please check in at the office with Ms. Ashley and make your way to the adventure playground side of the school. The children begin play at the structure area, then make their way to the Adventure Playground. If the children are inside for any reason, Ms. Ashley will let you know and they can simply go to class from the office.
Kindergarten Vision Screening
Kindergarten 4 and 5 students will take part in vision screening through CISSSO. You will be notified if follow-up is recommended.
Cobalt Communication Tool
We completed our first test of the Cobalt communication tool. For urgent matters, school closure, transportation cancelation, you will receive a text message to the number associated in your child’s file. Yesterday, I tested the email function. Some of you who have a Hotmail accounts and one Outlook account did not receive the test email. The WQSB is working on a fix. Thank you for letting me know.
