    Weekly Question

Each week your child will take part in class discussion around the question of the week. This week’s question is “How can small acts of kindness create a big difference in our school?” You may want to chat with your child at home as well.

    Family Activity Night

Family Activity Night is back! Join us October 22 for a family night out to create planners. Children also go home with new books for their home library.

    Eardley Clothing Swap & Trade

Join us for our upcoming Clothing Swap & Trade on October 22! This is a wonderful opportunity to refresh your child’s wardrobe in time for winter while supporting our school community. Children come in all sizes, so all sizes are welcome. Please stick to clothing only, no shoes or equipment.

    How it works:

    • Bring a bag to collect your items
    • Clothing must be clean and in good condition, suitable for another child
    • Clothing only (no toys or other items)
    • Families will drop off items and sort them by size upon arrival
    • Browse and shop

    Drop-off note:
We will also accept bags of clothing during the day on Thursday, October 22, provided the items are already bagged and sorted by size in individual bags. No Donation? No problem! You are welcome to shop even if you are unable to bring items. All remaining clothing will be donated at the end of the day.

    Event Schedule:

    • Date: October 22, 2026
    • Drop-off: During the school day. No drop-offs past 6:00pm
    • Shopping: 4:00pm – 7:00pm

    Grade 6 Graduation Fundraisers

The grade 6’s need your help. There will be a cake raffle on October 30. Families can purchase tickets for $1 each and on your behalf, students place their tickets in the basket of the cake the family is hoping to win. Please see the attached flyers and calendar.

    Sweet Treat– October 24

    Cake Raffle– October 30

    Upcoming PD Days/Holidays

    November 6– Daycare is closed.

*Please note, on PD Days, daycare closes at 5:00pm unless indicated otherwise. The charge for late pick-up is $3/minute.

Code of Conduct and Anti-Violence/Anti-Bullying (AV/AB) Plan

Please visit out website for this year’s Code of Conduct. Please see attached for the draft 26/27 AV/AB plan. The AV/AB will go through approval process at our next governing board meeting on October 27.

    Accessible Halloween

On October 31 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., PETES is hosting an Accessible Halloween designed to make Halloween welcoming and enjoyable for all members of the community. With barrier-free trick-or-treating stations, candy and non-candy options, consideration for sensory sensitivities, and inclusive costumes, the event aims to remove barriers so that everyone can take part in the celebration.

    Have a wonderful weekend!
