Swap and Trade Follow-up
Thank you to everyone who attended and donated to our Swap & Trade event! We were happy to see a great turnout and appreciate your support as we continue to grow this initiative. Based on feedback, we plan to hold our next event, likely in May, on a weeknight and alongside another school event to encourage more traffic. We will also provide earlier notice and a few designated drop-off days in advance. Interestingly, our first event brought in lots of clothing but fewer families, while this time we welcomed many families but received fewer donations. Thank you for your patience as we work through the growing pains and continue building this wonderful community event. We look forward to seeing you at the next Swap & Trade.
Changing Weather
As the weather changes, students start shedding layers throughout the day. Please make sure your child’s name is written in their clothing, including sweatshirts. This allows us to return lost items to their owners.
Accessible Halloween
On October 31 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., PETES is hosting an Accessible Halloween designed to make Halloween welcoming and enjoyable for all members of the community. With barrier-free trick-or-treating stations, candy and non-candy options, consideration for sensory sensitivities, and inclusive costumes, the event aims to remove barriers so that everyone can take part in the celebration.
Have a wonderful weekend!
