Building Resilience

As parents/guardians, we want what is best for our children. In doing that, we often jump in to support when they struggle…makes sense, right? I attended a workshop with Tracey Vaillancourt last week on the impact of social media. There was a portion of the session that spoke to the importance of the skills developed while “in the struggle”. Seeking immediate relief during times of struggle or avoiding the struggle, actually increases anxiety which is what we are trying to avoid. The journey is just as important as the destination.
