I hope this email finds you all well after a restful March Break. I have an important update for you, please see below.
PD DAY
- Friday, March 17, 2023 is a PD Day – there are no classes.
- Daycare is open for those who registered from 7:00am – 5:00pm.
Family Teacher Meetings
- A reminder that our Term 2 Report Cards were available on the Mozaik portal as of March 3, 2023. If you require help with accessing the Portal, please contact Stephanie Lelievre @ SLelievre@wqsb.qc.ca
- Family-Teacher meetings are for any student who is at risk; teachers have previously sent invites to parents/guardians prior to the March Break.
- The meetings will be virtual on the Teams platform and will take place on the evening of March 16 and throughout the day on March 17, 2023.
- Please see the attached memo with further details.
REMINDER – Re-Registration for 2023-2024
- All re-registrations can be completed through the Mozaik Portal. Please find attached a letter with further details, and the instructions for re-registration.
- The date to complete this process has been extended to March 26, 2023.
LAST DAY – Grade 6 Spring Chocolate Fundraiser
- What: Spring Purdy Chocolate Fundraiser
- How: Order online using the following link Purdy Chocolates @ Eardley
- When: Order until Tuesday, March 14th, 2023. Delivery on Thursday, April 6th
- Chocolate orders will be handed out at school, on April 6th, to students who will then bring home them home. Pick may be arranged for larger orders that students are not able to bring home, please contact Ms. Pinkham at vpinkham@wqsb.qc.ca.

Cake Raffle
- The grade 6 classes would like to thank our community for supporting our Cake Raffle! It was a huge success, and we could not have done it without your help. We raised almost $600 towards the graduation; thank you!!
English Parents’ Committee Association (EPCA)
- EPCA represents Quebec English parents’ interests to the Ministère de l’Éducation et de l’Enseignement supériour. https://epcaquebec.org/

- EPCA, along with the Quebec Community Groups Network, is organizing a one hour information session on Bill C-96 on March 1, 2023, from 7 to 8 pm.

The emergency services were called to assist an individual who needed such services. Please be rest assured that all classes continued as per their regular schedule and all was resolved before the day’s end.

Term 2 Report Cards
- Term 2 is ending on February 17, 2023.
- The Term 2 report cards will be available on the portal March 3, 2023.
- Attached, you will find the instructions in order to access the Term 2 Report Card.
- Term 2 Family-Teacher Meetings will be taking place during the evening of March 16 and throughout the day on March 17. The Family Teacher meetings are intended for students who are at risk. A further memo will be sent to the community with an option to sign-up.
- To avoid any surprises, teachers will be in contact with any parent/guardian whose child is at risk or failing a subject. This contact will take place before the release of the report card on March 3, 2023.
Kindness Memo
- With the month of love upon us, another Spirit Day is in the works.
- Please find attached our Kindness Ninja Memo detailing the fun and exciting things we have in store for the month of February.
- Valentine’s Day – Valentine Cards can be distributed this year, in accordance with the homeroom teacher. Please communicate directly with your child’s homeroom teacher should you wish to distribute Valentine Cards or send in a sweet treat.

The CARE lab at McGill University is recruiting parents of children aged 5-12 to participate in an online parenting session on self-efficacy. The study will also involve completing a 15-minute questionnaire at 3 time points. Participants will be entered into a draw to win one of 10 $50 Indigo e-gift cards!

Update to Eardley Calendar
- Due to the snow day that occurred on December 23rd, 2023 all WQSB schools have had to recoup a PD Day.
- Therefore, April 11th is no longer a PD Day on the Eardley calendar.
- On April 11th, the school will be open as usual for business.
