What’s Happening at Eardley?
I hope you had a great break. It was nice to see our students back and ready for the remaining 3 months of the school year. Below you will find some information for March and for our upcoming events.
Report Cards
Report Cards will be available through the Mosaik Parent Portal on March 13.
Family-Teacher Interviews
Our Family-Teacher meetings will be held March 14 during the evening and March 15 during the day. Your child’s teacher has requested meeting for some students. If you would like to request a meeting, please contact your child’s teacher.
PD Days
There will be a PD Day on March 15 in order for Family Teacher Interviews to take place.
Grade 6 Graduation Date
We have decided on June 17th as our tentative grade 6 graduation date. We have received requests for the date and although we cannot predict if something will come up, this is the date we have started our planning with.
Weather
With the spring weather, comes wet and mud. Please speak with your child about staying out of the water and consider sending extra socks/clothes.
Lost and Found
Children will often remove sweaters in the yard as they are playing. Please label your child’s sweatshirts/outerwear. We return all labelled items to students before donating the rest at the end of each month.
Solar Eclipse
Due to the time the eclipse will be present in out region, the WQSB has moved the April 5th PD Day to April 8. Daycare will not be available on that day.
Educational Project
Thank you for your feedback regarding our Educational Project. I will be bringing it back to Governing Board this month for approval.
Electronics
This is a reminder that students should not have their cell phones at school, including buses. If your child requires a phone for walking home, they can leave their phones with their teacher and retrieve the phone at the end of the day. Should the phone be found without being given to the teacher, after the second offence, an adult will have to come to school to retrieve the phone. The no phone policy at school, outside of educational purposes, is a Ministry directive.
