Good Morning Eardley Community,
I hope this email finds you safe and well. I have an important update for you today, please see below.
- Rapid Testing for ALL
Elementary School Families
- Further to the announcement by Santé Publique yesterday afternoon, five rapid tests will be given to every elementary student across the province of Quebec.
- Please note that the rapid tests are still in transit and therefore, we do not have a distribution date. As soon as the tests arrive and are organized by class list, a further information/confirmation email will be sent to our community.
- Please see the attached
documentation to prepare.
- What does this mean?
- Each student will be sent home with five rapid tests (date TBD).
- We will not be making appointments for parent(s)/guardian(s) to pick up the rapid tests.
- The rapid tests can be used at your discretion, they are not mandatory for school attendance.
- If you complete a rapid test at home due to your child(ren) displaying Covid-19 symptoms and the result is positive, they are to seek testing from a Santé Publique testing centre – the child is NOT to attend school.
- If you complete a rapid test at home due to your child(ren) displaying Covid-19 symptoms and the result is negative, the same rule applies – please monitor your child’s symptoms and do NOT send your child to school while sick.
- No student should be coming to school while sick, regardless of the rapid test result.
- What does this mean?
At this time, this is the current up to date information that we have. Please note that the situation is rapidly evolving and therefore, as soon as new and updated information is available, I will update our community.
I appreciate your support and understanding as we continue to navigate the Covid-19 pandemic.
As always, I remain available should you have any questions or concerns.
Please take care and stay safe,
Samantha Halpin
